Sometimes we actually like the shade of black clouds. The reason is the intense heat and tapish. Especially when you are fasting (Roza), the heart wishes for the clouds to stay so it remains cool. This “heat” isn’t just outside; it’s in our minds and our thinking too. Everywhere in society and the environment, this heat and aggression make life miserable.

Even if you go on social media, the “temperature” is high. Whether it’s at hotels or street corners, there is heat everywhere. In some places, there are slogans of joy, and in others, fake laughter born out of frustration. Those who understand the situation know what’s happening, but those looking for “good news” will return home sad and disappointed. After rushing to travel on common seats instead of the first-class ones, and then enjoying some “English drinks,” they try to lighten their hearts by hurling new and old abuses at a certain player.

Our local Maulana Saab considers it a must to have Halwa at Iftar. Today, the sister had even added extra sugar to it. Despite that, Maulana shouted at the boy, “Tell your mother, why is this Halwa so tasteless (sugarless)?” Basically, all that sweetness went to waste and a big scene (dhamchar) was created. Instead of discussing the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, everyone is busy arguing over “Articles” and “Laws.”

But Uncle Qadan is such a “player”—the match is there, the ground is there, but the pitch is nowhere to be found! People are trying hard to find some shortcut, but Uncle Qadan is a pro player. His opening partner, Uncle Rashai, is also a big character; he’s a player who doesn’t even need a pitch! It’s all his mischief. On top of that, he used the Constitution and Law in such a way that even those in hiding were shocked. All the coats and waistcoats are being auctioned off like cheap market goods.

Wise people say “haste makes waste,” but Shablo was very fond of his moves. By mixing 20 and 22, he has created such a Baitaal (chaos) that will be heard of for a long time. As for the junior players, you should have seen them running away! Now, the bet money has to be returned. The “20” they collected in their pockets feels like “22” when they have to take it out. Now, they have no choice but to create a scene.
